As near as I can figure out, this is a Troll egg...he says they're called "Treggs", and when they grow up, they become Scandinavian Trolls!Treggs have no hands when they are as young as this guy, but are quite dextrous with their long toes. When he gets a little older, he may grow a tail...

I think any creepiness stems from the fact that he's so hairy. His features and feet are superb. When I picture him in my mind with less hair on his lower body, he looks fantastic (more egg-like and less testicular).
