Description
As you brace against the wind, you can barely see an inch in front of your nose, and can only hear the howl of the wind as it races past your ears. Maybe it was a mistake not to seek out shelter...but it's too late to go looking now. You barely even know which direction you're going in, much less how to find cover in this strange, unknown territory. For a moment, your gut sinks with the fear of the very real possibility you and your Stryx could die in this storm, but before you can linger too long on the thought, you could swear you hear a strange sound somewhere in the distance ahead through the cacophony of wind.

You press forward, intent on investigating the sound, and notice several sets of what seem to be deer tracks in the snow. It seems a small herd passed through recently, and that strange sound just might have been coming from one of the deer. You're running low on fish, and could definitely use a fresh kill. But the closer you get to the bleating sound, you realize it's not going to be so easy. You realize it's not a deer, but a Kirin that has been backed into a huge snowdrift by a lone Anaruq , bleeding from several bite wounds to its legs.

--- You confront the predator, your Stryx letting out a threatening roar as you leap into action. That Kirin is worth far more than its meat, and storm or no, you can't let such a valuable creature go to waste.

Looks like there's more than Moon' expected to encounter in these dreadful conditions. While most critters would avoid coming between a preadator close to their size and its prey, Kirins seem to be an exception to this rule. Plus.. a chance to draw an extremely angry-poofed Moon' in the process :>
