Description As part of Sterling's Fsck V-Day website deal, I decided to come up with something. On this image is probably the only place you'll ever see the "f-word" out of me.

Set up was the hardest. Balancing the cards, getting the lighting right, and generally making it something I was happy with. Post processing done in PS to clean up the background a bit, add the border and frame and text.

It was fun to do, and though the image is far from perfect, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Hope you enjoy!

I believe you've summed up my sentiments on V-Day perfectly Well to start, the shot's vibrant and the colours are crystal clear; the picture quality doesn't take away from the initial idea. It really does look like the other aces are conspiring on how to torture the ace of hearts next, and it's bloody brilliant. Seriously, this is one of the most original ideas for the "fsck V-day" army that comes out every Feb. 14th that I've seen since I've been here.

I have so many more ideas, I'm going to get them up for next year. The cards was something different and unique since a lot of people do something with roses/chocolates/stuffed hearts. I'm happy with how it turned out, so glad you like it!

Heh, "The cards were stacked against them. The poor hearts were forever lost to the deck." Given that the other cards are conspiring to do the hearts in I cannot help to hear the theme music from The Godfather Concept and set-up are well done.

Argh, now I have conflicting things going on in my head: The Godfather theme and now, when I just looked at the title again, I hear the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland's voice "Off with their heads! "Down with Hearts!"

Good shot. I like the overall grayness and the spots of color. I like the concept too... great idéa.

Heheh. The other aces ARE conspiring against the hearts. You can see all the shredded heart cards and the ace of hearts being put through the shredder.

On balancing the cards...kneaded erasers, just get a bunch and they work for sticking almost anything together

You know, I was looking ALL over the house for clay, kneaded erasers, silly putty, sticky tack - anything! And of course, when I needed it, I couldn't find it!
