I love what you've done with the scales and the shading, defining the muscles and facial shape like that.
And I don't know what you did with the hair there but it works really well!
I also find it interesting how it looks even better when zoomed in on a little, in my opinion. Often times art looks better when you see it from a greater distance.

Thanks! Yeah, I was trying something new with the scales, you can thank 's speed paints for that! I was watching a ton of them at the time I drew this, and that really helped me get some ideas on how to draw the scales.
And I love to work with detail, so that should explain the zooming in thing.
I don't know what I did with the hair either! XD I've never done it like that before, and I've never seen anyone else do that... Honestly, it started out by messing up on the shading layer and going: "hey... that kinda looks like hair!" Then I got some ideas for hair highlights from a friend who draws a lot of manga.
Anyway, I'm so glad you liked it! I think I'm really starting to find my style!
