Description
Twilight had just been walking around the castle that morning before her duties started that afternoon. Princess Celestia had asked Twilight for help with preparations for an anniversary and the younger alicorn was more than happy to help her mentor and second mother. Though an hour before the afternoon struck, Twilight found herself in a corridor she has never seen before and her curiosity got the better of her and she started looking around. The purple alicorn found a door and she opened it with magic, not noticing the sign that said no pony was allowed to enter in old ponish. Inside the mostly empty room was a large stained glass window. But it wasn't any old stained glass window, it was of Princess Celestia with a lavender stallion and a white filly. It almost looked like a family portrait and somehow, just looking at it, her heart clenched in sorrow.
The young purple alicorn was heading to the throne room, an hour late when she spots the princess.
"Princess Celestia!" Twilight called out. "Yes, Twilight?" Princess Celestia asked, turning to her protege. "I...uh..." The purple alicorn faltered but Celestia knew, just by the look on her students' face, that she had seen the window. "Twilight...don't ever got back into that room. It is extremely private and personal." The white alicorn lightly scolded and all Twilight Sparkle could do was nod, the look that had briefly washed over her mentor's face made her tongue stick to her mouth as the princess walked away...
