It certainly is interesting! I've seen a couple different theories, like they age with respect to their mental state, or that they all just acted and looked a bit younger but were actually the same age (I mean they all looked tiny standing next to Rose)
But really all I'm certain of is that their old designs are cute as heck lmao ^^
