I stumbled upon some Hey Arnold! fanart and nostalgia hit. I checked out YouTube and found some episodes were uploaded. Viewing what was available I fell in love with the characters all over again.
I'd have to say my favorites were always The Pigeon Man, Big Patty, Helga, Arnold and Phoebe - somewhat in respective order. After doing the two pictures of Patty Smith and the Pigeon Man, I decided to do one more. Thus, we have Helga.
Like the others, I drew profiles of her in her original style and then in something along my style. One never knows just how recognizable she'd be to others otherwise. I think the transition worked out pretty well. Recognizable but not as cartoony. I also think the transitioning of her came out the easiest out of the three experiments. I'm also happy that she actually looks like a young kid as well. I suck at drawing kids.

Anyway, the background is a slightly modified screen capture from the show. It is a picture of the outside of her home.
