Oh, and I did want to say some things on this pic. I like how Steph's hips are wider in comparison to Cassandra's, I think most people tend to forget she did give birth. I also like the skin tones, especially Damian, and how most of them are blushing, except Cerdian, who looks bored. I also like how the costumes have the necessary equipment and details that they should have.

I hate it too, but I think it's because of the inkers rather than the artists. I did like that Steph looked more feminine in her physique than Cass, it fit their characters. I also like that Damian has no mask on, I guess this is at a point where he trusts them enough. And when Colin says "sister" did he mean Cass?

He does trust them, but it's also the fact that I like drawing them in uniform, but not the mask. lol. But yes, I would imagine he doesn't wear his mask them around sometimes.
And yes, sister = Cass. While I love Batfamily drawings, I really wish people would remember that Stephanie lives with her mother and is more extended Batfamily like Barbara. I've seen a lot of stories where she is included in their group of siblings and referred to their sister or something like that for some reason. And when they draw the brothers together, I get sad because Cass isn't included even though Bruce adopted her too, and I can get that maybe it's just a boy picture or something, but I just notice Cassandra seems to be left out of sibling things...

Yeah, she does. Which is a shame because I think she and Bruce would have an awesome father-daughter relationship (if DC wrote Batman as something other than a Batdick). Again, awesome pic, I understand why you leave out the masks.

They do have an awesome relationship. Even the little they displayed in the comics was amazing, and Cassandra, out of all of them, really understands the message of Batman (in my opinion; she would make an awesome Batman), which I think would make Bruce really proud.

I don't really know their relationship that well, but I'm glad they had a good one. Cass would make a good Batman, but she needs to be trained in more areas than combat to be great. But again, this is really a good pic, it's the small details that I like about it.

I think she was on the right path, maybe more training on the detective side, but ultimately, she would make the best successor. I know a lot of people kind of think/say Tim would have a time as Batman, but personally, I don't think he would nor do I think he should. Yes, Tim is the most like Bruce, but that's kind of why I think he should step away from the role, so he can have a life like Bruce couldn't. Dick clearly did it because he had to, and while he was the best at the time, he knew the role wasn't for him (though I did like him as Batman). Damian would be good eventually, but I don't think he would ever get over the fact that he needs to prove himself.
The thing about Cass is that she understands the role of Batman. It was one instance in a comic, but I thought it was very powerful. When asked where her allegiance lied, it wasn't with Bruce, but with the symbol of the Bat and what it stood for. I really wish more writers addressed that, but sadly, they don't.
Sorry for the little rant. Thanks again!

Lol Damian, thinking about Irey. How does Jai feel about that when he finds out?

Haha, I imagine that at first Jai is kinda like, "Ew dude, that's my sister," because in my head canon, he, Damian and Colin are bffs, but when he finds out that Irey likes Damian too, he actually helps get them together. Then, he gets all protective, because they are twins, and I can imagine them very close, so even though he can't really do much, he basically threatens Damian, typical, "You hurt her, you die" kind of thing (seriously, I think his threats would be worse than Wally's). And Damian, being his best friend knows how serious he is (I mean, you'd have to be if you threaten an ex-assassin who's dad is Batman), and assures him that he takes their relationship seriously.
Then Jai would go back to the whole, "Ew gross, please get a room or something because that's my fricking sister" deal. (Sorry if that was way more than you wanted to know... I spend a lot of time thinking about stuff like this... )

That's pretty much what I wanted to know. How do Colin, Damian, and Irey react when (if) Jai becomes Inertia (evil)?

Nusaki In reply to Hregt15 [2013-01-09 05:40:14 +0000 UTC]
Oh, that's good. lol. Well, if Jai becomes Inertia, I see Damian being very strict on the matter. He's had a lot of betrayal in his life, so having his friend turn evil would be a major blow to him. Every time they encounter him, Damian would be very down to business, trying to defeat him quickly. If one didn't know Damian well, they would say that it seemed as if he stopped caring about Jai seeing how he would avoid talking about him and not try to help him, but those who know him can see that he's hurting a lot and constantly wonders if there was something he could have done to prevent it.
Irey would be the opposite. I can see her feeling very guilty about Jai's turn, and feel partially responsible for it. Every time they encounter him, she would try to reason with him, and though she would appear to be trying to stop him, she would never go all out. Since they're twins, I can see still having a special link with Jai and can feel all the angst and stuff villains tend to feel, which also makes her more empathetic. Eventually, I think people (the Titans, her dad, etc.) would have to take her off cases that involved Jai because she is always torn between the mission and him and fails to get anything done. I think it would take a very serious crime (like killing a loved on or something) for her to finally face Jai with her all. This would also cause some arguments between her and Damian, since they're taking very different sides of the matter. It may strain their relationship, but the pain they both feel over the situation be able to help them talk it out and stay together.
Colin is more of a middle ground between the two of them. I kind of see him sort of mourning, but trying very hard to go on with life. He's very sad and upset with his friend, but I picture Colin has a specific sense of justice, having listening to tales of superheroes, and looking up to them. Plus, he was raised by nuns, and is a little more liberal than them, but has a very defined moral code. So if they encounter him, he'll try to reason with him, but if that doesn't work, he will try to do his best to take Jai down, especially if others need protection or to be saved.

I see. Your explanation makes a lot of sense and fits really well with the characters. Remember that chat we had about Damian cheating on Irey with Catgirl? If he did do that, and everybody found out, how do you think Irey, Jai, Colin, and Bruce (cause I just want to know what you think) would react and behave to that?

Aw, thanks again (and thanks for mentioning the skin tones! I like to make sure I try to represent each character's background and race accurately)! I used colored pencils. It's a variety of different brands, but mostly Crayola.
