Description Zone Focusing / BlogWhat is zone focusing? A technique. Like auto-iso or bracketing, it's a way to increase the odds and assure that you get "that photo". In this case it's not about the adequate speed or the right exposure, but about it's focus.
We all know that street photography is not about planning or action, but all about reaction. The pursuit of that perfect moment that you can't imagine in advance.
After your alertness see that light, that mood, that person, that face, thatcharacter, that situation, that juxtaposition, that balance, that repetition, that situation, that something that triggers you, all you can do is… react.
Well, without going into DoF, it's relation with the sensor's size, on how it only works usefully up to 35 or 50mm, and wider themes like creativity, let's just stick to aperture/distance and the fact that in the end of a photo walk you have a coherent set of photos and an acceptable focus rate of cand Zone Focusing (Journal Material only)
