Description Acrylic 32" x 44" {around about this size anyway}

The Tree of Life...
Language-the fissure that divides thing from thing- we are this gap between binaries
Conciousness: the trunk of the tree
we see the heavens as being the farthest point away
the top of the tree in the very past begining.. when we fell for the first place-into separation-
but now at the bottom Malkuth, the Kingdom, we see that a seed has fallen
an apple
the fruit of Knowledge
will grow into another tree!

Nothing is lost in eternity

OMG! I *get* it. My best friend puts out an arts and lit mag in Greenville S.C. called "Fissure". I think she would give an eyetooth to use this as a cover.

Unfortunately it's a very small mag with a small readership. She sinks more of her own cash into it than it makes just to keep it going, so I doubt it would pay anything other than a copy or two of the mag.

But man...

This is perfection.

The colors and lines, not to mention the symbolism, is breathtaking...stunning... I don't know, maybe it's just PMS, but I almost cried when I saw this.

Wonderful symbolism and fabulous gallery altogether, I love your style, it reminds me of my own work. Some of them I look at and its almost as if I recognised them , although I had never seen them before.Indeed you have discovered part of a great and mystical truth, we can see all around us the effects of the tree of knowledge. It's fruit once eaten is sweet to the taste, but on it's own can never fully satisfy. Knowledge alone is a ship without a rudder, it has no meaning, direction or purpose. But there are many trees to be discovereed in eternities great and secret garden. Trees that it is imperative that mankind discover in order to repair its nature and substance. Trees full of wisdom, ( which is the rudder for knowledge) , trees of Love, which is the reason and essence of everything, for ONLY love can create.........whereas evil eventually destroys. Which brings us back to human nature again. We have a perpetual seed within us, a seed of the knowledge of good and evil, but without the seeds of wisdom and love..........from the tree of life........we are lost. As the old hippie song says, "We are stardust, we are golden, but we've got to get ourselves back to the garden". Sadly, we cannot see the trees or even the need for them. If you have time, check out my 'Tree of Life' dev.

It's like the apple portray's the painting all together, in a sense, Eden could probably very well resemble your aspect of your piece. It's like bibical non-fiction meet's LSD for the first time. Well done, cheers.

I don't know what attracked me a lot about this painting but I do live it very much. The connection between life and tree is very nicely presented. And nice choice of colour odd individually but nice when blends together. good job

thankyou

I guess I was trying to see the tree of life as the decent of energy into material form, falling from heaven to earth, and how the whole tree repeats over again at the bottom.
Some biblical connection too I would say. Your reward for falling from heaven is another apple

I like the painting but don't quite see the tree of life connection, perhaps the biblical myth though cause it has an APPLE!!
