A birthday gift forAs I'm slowly meandering my way through her cast of characters, I realized that no tour would be complete without a visit with the lovely Arilynne.
I had a rule for this one: Don't do anything with her that you wouldn't do with Lisa. Easy enough. (Though imagining the look on Martin's face if I broke with my own habits of modesty with other people's characters was pretty funny. Probably because he'd never expect such a thing from me. I hope.)
She's just such a pretty and sweet character so I wanted to showcase that without forgetting that she's certainly clever and strong enough to be her own woman and stand on her own.
I'm not sure I got her age right. Maybe it's a picture from her younger years?
Anyway, I hope I did her some justice and managed to land this one somewhere in the ballpark of accuracy. Even if it's not *exactly* right, she was so much fun to work with ... I'm sure she'd forgive me.

Thank you ever so much. I had a rough night of battling a cold and when I saw this this morning I lit right up. I couldn't comment properly since I was on the way to work so I'm sorry it's a bit late.
Arilynne looks fabulous in your style, and I think if Martin ever saw her like this he would be struck speechless and frozen to the spot. That expression is just the right amount of innocence and...well, and not! LOL! It's almost like she's challenging whoever thinks she's a just another pretty face. I love her pose. That scarf is kind of a nod at what her other half does for a living; it's a great little continuing touch at how you finished the ribbons on Martin's Boiler Tour pic.
And you remembered her purple!
You were worried about accuracy. Arilynne is three years younger than Martin. How you have her here would be as she is in the second book, so that would make her 26-27. So this is spot on to me. She also doesn't dress like this until much later, since her occupation has her around blood and guts most of the time. She enjoys being feminine and it sure shows.
