Description This is a Western Box-elder Bug (Boisea rubrolineata).

Their nymphs (at least I think they're their nymphs...) are pretty cool to. They have more purple.

Or a box elder bug. Kind of reminds me of something related to it with the red markings saying, "don't eat me I taste bad".

Yeah, that's look more like it. May be Boissea trivittata from the Rhopalidae family?

Yup, milkweed bug is a lygaeidae.
