Description
So here is the second half of my Celes fanart set. The other of which can be seen here .

I knew right away I wanted to make a set. I really enjoy both versions of Celes' costume, they're both very distinct from one another, and it gave me a good reason to give one a World of Balance setting and the other a World of Ruin setting, from the two very distinct halves of Final Fantasy VI.

Naturally, I went with the World of Ruin setting for this one, the browns and tans match the wasteland as well as the green and blue of her other costume match a lush, green outdoor setting.

I didn't expect them both to come out SO radically different, though. I really went through a lot of effort to make sure both drawings gave her the same face, height, and body proportions, because I'm not used to drawing the same character twice like this. And even though their faces are identical and their builds are so similar, they look so different.

And then once I started doing the landscape, the difference in tone became even more pronounced, the setting here wound up looking even more bleak and desolate than I expected, I could not be more pleased with my result.

Out of the two, I think this one is the winner, but I had so much fun working on both.
