At first I just wanted to practice a few things about light and colors that I observed in loish 's painting below. I'm quite surprised by my own result, haha, but in a positive way. It's not bad, I think
(in fact I don't like much how it looks on thumbnail, but in full view it's nice)As I started to do the hair I thought of Praeclaro 's Bosmer character, Rinieth and decided to go for some mowhawk that turned a bit freestyle. The tatoos seemed to fit in just nice. I like the slight androginy of this face.

Yeah, good exercise, but as you see in the example you learnt from, there are not outlines, so the face has more depth and looks more real. Try to get rid of outlines, or make them very thin.
Anyway, good concept and colours.
