Description Ok, so this is a view of what a game level could look like. I must admit that I rather like that style and just speedpainting the props would save me a lot of time, because doing pixel art is time-consuming and pff, the result isn't that great. That's something to ponder. TES games usually go for rather realistic textures etc, but I'm not sure I have the patience right now to do this kind of things, and sprites can always be changed later on.

I would like to give the feel that we're in a real city, with lots of houses and places you'll never be able to access but with your imagination. You wouldn't be able to enter most houses because, heck, that's not your property! Shops however should be fine however. I'll try to think of possible uses of slaves if you want to buy some (that might depend on your moral choices however, or be restricted to certain quests.
I'm not yet sure how I can deal with both depth and gravity, but it would be really cool to be able to run around, climb on houses top and go parkour (kinda).

Tell me what you think, and if you know a programmer who'd like to help, pass the links!

What're you aiming for? Any idea what you want to use for the game (GM, Unity, or...?)?

I'm using Game Maker because the coding is easy and I don't want to make a 3D game (I can do lowpoly modeling but that would take waaay too much time, especially since I haven't 3D'd for quite some time now). Right now I already have a character who can move around, run, sneak, climb (even though on that part I have to tweak the code so it actually plays the climbing animation and not just the first frame, which is weird) and double-jump, and 3 different types of grounds reacting differently to the player. It's rather nice, but not enough yet (I think however that I'll use the engine I have so far to make a little TES parody of a famous platform game, just because I already have the whole "plot" and it would be fun).
