I Have been listening to The Lion King's complete score and came across the track 'The Once And Future King' which is the score that plays as Rafiki draws Simba in his tree - a beautiful instrumental piece by the one and only Hans Zimmer!

Simba is like King Arthur. Born of royal blood, his father died, and he must reclaim his homeland from tyrant relative of his.
I can see Rafiki as Merlin, he’s many things a druid, mage, wizard and mage combined. He studied and mastered the dark arts even understanding dark magic but never used it even for good.
Nala is Guinevere falling in love with Arthur but unlike her, Nala is faithful and trusted.
Timon and Pumba are like Vetiver and Lancelot, loyal to the king until death.
Scar is like some tyrant I can’t think of but he would fit the Description.
Zira is like Arther’s evil half-sister who’s also Merlin’s apprentice/witch. So evil her soul is black as coal and the night combined.
And Kuvo is a son of Scar but conflicted with his good and evil, but he chooses to not follow his parents and Pride’s misguided path.
And Kira is the offspring of the king but chooses to do another path than violence.
