On the surface Ida is an overly positive and enthusiastic person that can at times come across as obvlivious. She’s friendly and outgoing with a tendency to throw in some witty remarks for playfulness. She has the confidence to go after her gut feeling as most of the time its been proven to guide her into the correct path. If her intuition is wrong about a certain matter, Ida will simply shrug and brush it off as ‘it was meant to go that way.’ Quite stubborn- not in the way that ‘I’m right and you’re wrong’ kind of way but in the sense of wanting to overcome an obstacle. A ‘I can do it!’ mentality. However, her happy-go-lucky attitude is but a external wall, built to protect anyone from seeing who she really is; a sensetive girl that wants nothing but recognition and approval in the eyes of the poeple she truly cares for. Background: Ida grew up on a farm north of Greece in a rural village with a tight knit neighborhood. Raised by a veterinarian mother and a veteran father, Ida spent her first few short years on earth among animals and stories of the old gods. The rot that spread through northern Europe had fortunately not found its place in the small village but it did not mean anyone was safe from harm. Rumors quickly spread through the neighborhood of an acquaintance who had fallen ill to a mental sickness, leaving a child behind. Many believed that this was the effect of the meteorite and that the child would be affected but the Sideris did not believe such things. No, there were larger problems at hand than that. Despite struggling financially due to the economic crisis in Greece, the abandoned girl was soon adopted. Even if Ida’s childhood memories are a little blurry, Ida would never forget the day her parents introduced her to her new adoptive sister, Sola. At first it had been a struggle for Ida to adapt to their new family member. Who was this strange girl and why did her parents keep on telling her to ‘take care of your new sister’? A responsibility she had never asked for. It took some time but the two sisters eventually got along. Now it was Idas turn to pass on her knowledge of the old Gods and lead her sister into shenanigans. For a good few years their small land was filled with life and energy, working out in the field was suddenly a lot more fun, never leaving a moment dull.While her mother had gotten the baby fever, adopting a third child into the household, Ida was busy getting familiar with her father’s hunting style and technique. Although her old father used a rifle to hunt the local wildlife, Ida found that she enjoyed the touch of a dagger much more than a loud gun to her ears. Despite the fun play with knives it was her old man's stories of his serving days that had her mesmerized. Already fascinated by the Greek gods and their grandeur, suddenly the agricultural lifestyle was not enough for the young girl, for she too, wanted to save the world one day from its misery. The chance for a change and a platform to truly show her worth came in the form of two acceptance letter from the Nielssen Academy, one for her and one for Sola. The fact that a full scholarship had been offered meant that a huge weight on her parents shoulders had been lifted as they had been reluctant to the idea to a school abroad from the start. Truly this had to be more than pure luck or coincidence, right? It was a dream come true! Little did she know that the true intent of the invitation was something larger than themselves. A cause she could truly devote and give herself to.
