Description
♢ Full Name: Diana Quis Varz
♢ Age: Twenty [ 20 ]
♢ Race: Human
♢ Gender: Female
♢ Height / Weight: 5'8"
♢ Class: Student
♢ House: Bellatrix
♢ Magic: Lunar Magic
♢ Personality:
» Diana is a sincere woman. Her family has long taught her that life will not kindly forgive mistakes, and that a strong mind builds a strong individual. She is very studious and on the verge of being a workaholic. Despite Diana not voicing her opinions all too often, when the situation calls she is not one to back out. She trusts only in exchange of another's trust in her, although never fully believes others would risk as much as she is prepared to. She is very well educated and dislikes the use of profanity, however she wouldn't exactly interfere if one were to use it. Diana is a prideful person, but only when it is rightfully deserved. She will have no trouble admitting her mistakes. She is strong willed, confident, and rarely ever becomes afraid in the face of danger or the unknown. One of her many troubles, despite holding such a strong exterior, is her fear of failure. She often too, lays trust in places she likely shouldn't, and (through basic effort) can be easily lied to (though not as forgiving.) Her speaking manner is very direct and often comes off very bluntly, despite not holding any ill will. This is a known fact to her, so unless deemed necessary, her thoughts remain inside her mind. She has been plagued with how important her success is to their family, and how much is expected of her - so even in extreme situations, she will recklessly attempt to do more than her body/mind can take.
[ Lunar Magic ] . Illusionary Lunar Witchcraft
» Diana is able to perform magic spells and enhancements through the moon. These abilities manifest themselves strongest at midnight, and weakest at mid-day.
Diana excels at illusionary magic and prefers to win over a battle without the use of damage-inflicting attacks, but rather, through enemy surrender. However, in the case of requiring it, Diana can, depending on the moon's visibility, create bright beams of lunar energy. Turning lunar energy into a physical beam is a very exhaustive spell, and despite being able to create it, she cannot control it as well. Any obstruction of path between Diana and the moon will completely negate all damaging effects of said spell. In good days, Diana can also pray for the Moon to brighten cloudy/foggy nights.
♢ Story:
» Through generations, her bloodline has carefully listened to the Moon and its calling. An entity that science or astrology simply could not decipher. It spoke to Ellaine from afar. She is told a story, and it asks her not to repeat its words. Ellaine is the first to hear of "magic" through none other than the moon. Throughout her growth, she listens to it carefully, often doing as it asks, and in return, being given things that are out of this world. The gift of magic.
-
Many ancestors later, and the moon gives sign of a new, upcoming talent. A baby girl, and she will bring the world an aspect of the moon.
As wonderful as this was in the ears of the mortals of earth, there was an unforeseeable event: Mary, the woman who had heard of the upcoming girl, hoping it to be her own child, had five boys. Praying to the moon and trying to understand, she grew her boys strong and full of will, telling them of the tales of the moon and its magic.
The boys, ecstatic, went on to become practitioners of this magic, and searched for the most immaculate of women to bring life to the moon's calling. Once married, all five men had given birth to 2 children each, but yet again, they were all boys. Confused and conflicted, many of the following generations began to doubt the moon. Some of them, refused to have children, others, had given birth once.
Ultimately, the numbers became smaller and smaller, and the moon, had once again, become simply the moon. Not much later, one of these men had decided to ignore important rules within this magical world. Specifically, a very important rule. . . where the moon asks those who can hear it speak, not to repeat its words - not to outsiders. Lucius had encountered something he deemed better than magic, he had fallen in love.
Not soon after: she knew of everything. The next day, Lucius had discovered in the worst of ways, that the moon was very much aware. He had become blind.
[ l o c k e d ]
Diana does not speak much of her past, nor of what the moon tells her. . . for her father had gone blind at its wrath.
-
Her family places great expectations on her, especially her father. Since young age, she has been taught spells and how to read and decipher the moon. Diana has worked hard to perfect her spells, willing to prove that she is all her family expects her to be. And although the best is good progress, the best is not good enough. There is still much to learn and much she herself is unaware of in her own past. Very little she remembers, but one thing is for certain:
When the moon calls, she answers.
-
By enrolling in Saint Spell Magical Conservatory Diana hopes to control her magic and perfect her spells as many great mages and witches have. There is much more out there that she does not understand, and she feels ready to begin.
♢ Additional Information:
» Diana spends an hour every night speaking to the moon, quite religiously.
» Has a strong sense of belief in herself and rarely frightens or backs down.
» Whenever she thinks deeply, her facial expression looks dead (subconsciously)
» Constantly whispers to herself the words "I see" - even when nobody is speaking
» Likes oranges.
