Why this is important to me. I’ve lived through war in Central America, and also because Palestinian blood runs in my veins.

What if I told you that you can feel sad for the innocent victims of Israel at the hand of the Hamas attack a couple of weeks ago, support them and their suffering. and still be able to call out the awful way the Israeli government has handled this collective punishment it unleashed on the Palestinian people of Gaza. And even further, call them out for the way they are committing crimes against humanity and war crimes in Gaza,
And have been doing so for decades.
Do yourself a favor, don’t come at me because your opinion differs, I’m not here for that.
I’ve always stood on the side of the oppressed, even to this day with the plight and suffering of the Jewish people during the Holocaust.
But the truth is the truth, What Netanyahu and the Israeli government are doing in Gaza is inhumane, hurting civilians or worse in the numbers we’ve seen in the last few weeks is NOT self defense. It is genocide.
Since October 7, more than 3,257 children have been reported killed, including at least 3,195 in Gaza, 33 in the West Bank, and 29 in Israel, according to the Ministries of Health in Gaza and Israel respectively. The number of children reported killed in just three weeks in Gaza is more than the number killed in armed conflict globally—across more than 20 countries—over the course of a whole year, for the last three years.

Children make up more than 40% of the 7,703 people killed in Gaza, and more than a third of all fatalities across the occupied Palestinian territory and Israel. With a further 1,000 children reported missing in Gaza assumed buried under the rubble, the death toll is likely much higher. ( according to SAVETHECHILDREN )
