Description Fandom: Thor, The Avengers | Marvel movie verse.
Title: Loki Laufeyson

Concept:
While I’ve been working on this piece I’ve been calling it the Loki Strip as my intention is to do one for some of the character that appears in both the movie Thor as well as The Avengers.

Think of this as a character study of sorts…

How:
The original size for this is 900x2424px. I’ve worked it on a few layers as possible: the helmet in one, the character in another and a BG. I’ll be posting a close up later on where you’ll be able to see some of the details that are lost in this resolution.

The image itself is based off a promo picture of Tom Hiddleston as Loki and as usual I started out with a simple sketch.

Blocking in the colors took about an hour due to the canvas size. What widdled away the hours to the point I almost got over-saturated with this was working in the details and textures - which will be seen in the close-up up later today.

Photoshop 7
Wacom Intous Pen-tablet
Hours - for my own sanity I'm not counting them. Either case it can mount up to days.

Heh, thank you. I normally find painting leather so as to make it look like leather quite hard. No way near as what the metal turned out to be, though. thank you for your kind words.

Thank you. Loki has an interesting armor/outfit, though not necessary very practical to use in a war. I guess that's where his magic comes in handy
