A friend of mine asked me to do a picture of her, and she sent me a couple of photos to work from. So I've used them as photo-reference. I.e I had the photos of her in another window and did the sketch that way. (so it's not a photomanipulation).I only used reference for her face though, and to get the size width right etc. She didn't stand in that pose or wear those clothes. I also improvised the lightning on her face a bit, as the photos of her was outside in sunlight (the cyan and yellow lights wasn't there, in other words).
It's done in photoshop (from scratch).
And that's probably the best hand I've ever done.

All around excellent. Given a choice I would not have highlighted the eyebrow and cheek with so bright a white. A little on the chin also, the brightness pulls my eye from where it needs to be so as the whole of the picture can be absorbed. You did THIS with photoshop...from SCRATCH!? I bow to your superior talent! That's stunning. I don't even think I could draw a decent stick figure in photoshop. I only use it for photo manipulation and modifying existing artwork. When I saw it i thought it was acrylic paint! Bravo!!!

but over-all, it's really well done..
and if I repeat anything, sorry..
however, the fingers look a tid small..
using the face as a marker for comparison, they could be a *touch* bigger..

its really great. only glaring problem i see is how small her hand is. usually hands are just as big as ur face (put ur hand to ur face DOOEETTT). Good job, i like ur painting skillz

This is exceptionally well done. Her right arm, however, doesn't look quite as though it's attached to her shoulder. But Hey, you could always say it's part of your style.
