Description
These are a bunch of OCs I made from a fanspecies I created called Catfishes. They are a race of semi-aquatic, egg-laying marsupials I made for Homestuck. I haven't really developed this species much to perfectly honest, and I would like some help.
Their heirarchy is based on markings (Not sure what to call it yet), ginger solid/selfs (Baset) on the top ruling class, they are the rarest making them the ruling class, they are exceedingly rare but are hatched from clutches of lower members, the current King or Queen never breed, instead, they take in the one ginger hatched from lower members, he or she will then be taken into their care and raised by them. Color pointed (Omata) is next, they are also very rare, but aren't considered in the ruling class, but it is very common for one honorary, and intelligent member of their class to serve as an advisory of sorts to the royal ruling class. Bicolor points (Galin) are in third place of the hierarchy. Tortiseshells (Manks), are also high members, but not as highly regarded, Calicos (Meiji) are the middle, and the luckiest, they are often befiended so that luck could come to them. Piebald (Kilke) is also a middle class, but they are often mistaken for the low class bicolors (Sidhe) and vise versa, to be perfectly honest, there really is barely any way to tell the difference and are often interchangeable. Whitespotted (Rosie) are also called cow cats, more moo cows, are part of the mid lower class. And finally solid/ selfs (Matar) these are the other solid/selfs, they are part of the lowest end of the heirarchy, only solid gingers/selfs are alowed to rule all other solids/self are part of the lowest.
The society remains complacent with the way things are because they take these things called happy pills or happy candy, they are basically mind altering drugs that cause the person to be completely happy, it is by law to take them, and those who don't are known as downers, they are killed when found out either by the police (known as triggers) or even the members of society themselves. They come in candy form or pill form the pill form is free and are distributed by the Happy man (kinda like the demented drug version of a milk man). Only the royal class are not allowed to take them.
