"Alzara is widely disputed as the most popular of all the Daemon Lords regarding mortal worship. As with any other Daemon Lord he is widely revered in Scarthia, though his priesthood holds greater sway than most. Interestingly, Alzara’s influence extends far beyond Scarthia where he is worshipped by a wide range of cults and small pockets of his formal religion. Daemonologists have debated for centuries over the reasons behind Alzara’s popularity. Most press this situation as being derived from the openness and appealing nature of what Alzara represents. Alzara is the Daemon Lord of fire, passion and deceit. Known commonly as The Eternal Flame or Lord of Desire, individuals are said to be drawn to the rapture that only he can provide and, the social dominance that his priests seem to possess. Others have attributed the success of Alzara in the world of mortals as a result of wicked plans and corruption, where his authority is propagated at the expense of other Daemon Lords, or even that of higher deities. Despite conflicting thoughts, Alzara is well known throughout Naeralith and, his name is spoken even in the holiest of nations."
