Description
This was my holiday card design for this year, and a number of these were printed out and made into actual cards that I sent out to some internet friends.

I was so excited that someone on MS prompted a mail address exchange because as a result I received several cards, too, from such far places as the US, India, Sri Lanka and Australia.

I should do this every year from now on, although I should plan it sooner, because in the process I found out that it's a bit more time-consuming than I expected, hence this as well-refined as I'd wish.

I based the bird off the Crowned pigeon genus Goura, the epithet implying that this is an unbelievable representative of the genus.
The slight reminding of a Christmas tree (because of the colours) wasn't fully conscious.

I hope everyone has had a wonderful winter holiday celebration of their choice, and I wish you all a successful following year!

I have a few other previously unposted things lying around, but those will have to wait until 2012. c:
