Typhoon Juan (international name Megi) tore through the country not too long ago, and with that came lots and lots of rain, and some floods. Thankfully, at least in the city, it wasn't as bad as typhoon Ondoy (international name Ketsana) last year, where houses were flooded up to the second floor, cars were trashed, and lot of people drowned in the floods that went as high as five or so feet.

Typhoons usually come with a loss of electricity too, usually at night. It's too hot to sleep and it's pitch black because nothing's working but a candle or a small flashlight for these emergencies, so I usually just throw open the windows and listen to the rain a little bit longer. Tried to convey that sort of melancholy here.

A lot more shadows and blacks than I normally do - still experimenting with these things.
