Description This month, The Pokémon Company seems to be celebrating the Alola region.
Seeing as Alola is one of my favorite regions of the Pokémon world, I just HAD to make something for it!

Alolanchu and Litten are looking up at the sky on a peaceful day. While Mikei yells at them for something.

It was a great opportunity to do some more background practice here! It was also great drawing two of my favorite Pokémon together!
The shirt Alolanchu wears here is the same one he wore in this nice gift artwork that LadyBeelze made for me: mobile.twitter.com/LadyBeelze/… . I like to imagine that he DOES wear it on certain occasions. (Like going hiking in the woods or when playing his banjo.)

I was pleased with how I managed to draw Litten resting on Alolanchu's shoulder. (Characters climbing onto each other is something I need to practice with in regards to a few personal works of mine.)

If you've been following me for the past few years, you'll know that I LOVE Alola. I'm a sucker for tropical settings. So seeing a new country in the (at the time) latest Pokémon game based off of the beautiful Hawaii was pretty exciting for me. The Pokémon of the region were pretty nice looking too! Alolan Raichu remains as my top favorite Alolan form. And I've grown a personal attachment to Litten since I first saw it all those years ago. (I mean, one of the starters was a cat?! Cats are some of my favorite animals! How could I NOT fall in love with this thing?!) Other Pokémon like Zeraora, the Ultra Beasts, and Magearna have really grown on me too.

Team Skull wasn't as evil as some of the gangs before them, (like Team Flare.) but I did still find them to be good antagonists. They gave me a lot of vibes of a few people who I despised while growing up.

The Sun & Moon series was how I got more into Pokémon as a kid. And it was the final series I grew up with before becoming an adult. (Some aspects of Sword & Shield appealed to me too when I was still younger. But, it just didn't leave as much as an impact on me as this generation did.) It's helped me improve my art, get me through some though times, and make countless numbers of friends throughout the years.

Thank you Alola for all of the memories!

Alolanchu and Mikei belong to me.
