congrats on the DD!
this is an awesome piece indeed.
but it would've been even better (in my opinion) if her parting was obvious.
now her hair looks a bit like a whole piece of..hair.

lovely piece though, really.

Gah, it's stunning. Those void-like, inviting eyes. And like somebody else mentioned, the disconcerting flatness of the hair against the fullness of the face-shape in the skintones. The colour of the skin, so similar to the background. And then that contrasting roughness to the top she is wearing. I really thing this is a fantastic piece. I would love to see those eyes from the paper.

Great title "knife", could mean the sharp, simple lines that make up the perimeter of the character, her sharp facial expression (through the eyes, the nose, and the uppity in her head; snooty), and sharp, as that of intelligence.

bravo you.

My comment is honest. Comments need not be nice senselessly.

yes, its great that its honest and all that fun stuff but itd be even greater if you explained instead of throwing it out there. your comment is just rude and annoying because you give no reason for saying something negative about it.

I said I was unimpressed. This indicates (obviously, I feel) that I am dissatisfied by the quality of the artwork. I do not believe that I am either rude or annoying; however, if anyone in this situation is, it is you. What precisely do you aim to achieve? If the artist wants more information, he or she is more than welcome to contact me. You, on the other hand, will gain nothing from pestering me.

I am finished with this conversation.

Youre not giving examples or ways they could improve, youre just saying your unimpressed. The artist shouldnt have to contact you, half of the artists on here would be turned off by your comment and could care less about what you would have to say after that comment. Besides, it hurts when someone doesnt like something you worked hard on. So to have someone say something like that, with no offer of constructive critisism, makes them want to know why they dont like it and then at the same time not want to know because theyd be afraid of what youd say. And most chose to not want to know.

I would like to understand why you would rather leave it at unimpressed and offer no kind of help at all, thats why I was pestering you. But since youre finished with this conversation, obviously i will not get my answer out of you and im wasting my own time.

wow... isn't oil on paper is a little diffcult?.. i mean an ordinary paper is not the most suitable material to paint on with oils.. anyway, great job it must have been really hard but you did an exellent job!

I like this. There's something about her look that makes me stare. The colors aren't bad either. They're definitely not distracting and they're not dull. Just the right balance. I wonder who she's looking at.

This is amazing. There's something a bit weird about it that grabbed me, maybe the flatness of the hair or the similarity between the facial tones and the background. It's beautiful. I love the eyes.
I wish I owned this.
