Yes Chicago isn't the best place to be at night. I've also been to Milwaukee for two weeks. It's not much better there.
Yet I like Chicago because of all the old industrial Buildings.

Great shot. Most people from outside Chicagoland don't know that the views from the Hancock center are actually superior to the views from the "Willis" tower skydeck. Plus, one can take the lift up to the restaurant just one floor below the Hancock skydeck, and enjoy the view for the price of a drink at the bar.

This is a really nice pic. Chicago also happens to be one of the brightests spots on those nighttime satellite maps. Pretty, yet so much light pollution if the sky is what beckons. (If it'd snow, you can even read a newspaper at night on overcast days out in the 'burbs. lol)
For me, it's just a 40min train ride away, yet I rarely go over there. So close, yet so far away.

I was so impressed by the city.
I visited it as a part of a foreign exchange program. I also went to New York City but for me Chicago was much more beautiful and it's just not as big as New York. I think I'll visit Chicago again next year
