Description I walk through a door rotting off its hinges
Into room built of sawdust and paper aches
to join a scattered meditation.
The teacher rings the chimes marking her ascension.
Humming, chanting, they follow, hoping to find some significance.
Then they settle. All is silent
as they find the meaning of life in a twelve by fourteen structure.
I gazed out a half open widow
studying the contents of a free world before being pulled back.
Observing the stillness of the half opened gaze of my neighbor,
I sensed their connection,
but this place held no importance to me.
It once held lightness, but returning seemed empty.
The musical railing had fell beneath my feet
and collapsed in a single echo.
For I no longer fought for an unobtainable nature.
