Description Ok I know this has it's flaws. The tail is...no comment. I wanted to curl it around him and fill up most of the background but I realized after that it wouldn't be big enough to do so, and then it just ended up bent at a funny angle and uber straight looking. Just....ignore the tail. I like his little face though and his nose which is really a tad small for a red fox, but that's ok I guess. I also like his back. Because he has a SPINE. And spines are fun. Drawn over several class periods in history on the back of a history paper (hence the type in the bg...sorry bout that). Pen, no ref.

I try and try making hair per hair, but it's not enough, somehow. They don't look like that. I don't know how to work with the white parts, mainly.

I adore the eyes You know, if you hadn't mentioned the tail and made such a big deal out of it, I wouldn't have noticed as much. As it was, I read your comments, then looked at the tail again and couldn't help but laugh a bit X) I know, I know, I shouldn't laugh. Anyway, this one's absolutely adorable. I can't help but be drawn to the eyes every single time I look at this picture. Great job!

You really made him look alive. I agree the tail is a bit odd, but it makes the composition really oval-ish and I think it looks good : )
