I had a conversation with two of my good friends about how we used to fangirl over the Beyblade boys back when it was still cool to Let It Rip back in our Secondary school days. 
I really enjoyed the first season and followed it closely (the dubbed version! somehow this was a dubbed version where I actually enjoyed listening to the character's voices. Especially Rei's omgggg ) Loved the characters, the art, the animation, the bit beasts… I owned my own Beystadium as well as 2 Dranzers, while my brother owned a Draciel and my cousins owned a Dragoon and a Driger each. (Bladebreakers FAMILY YO) I love Dranzer!
I've never really gotten into a "merchandise-based" anime the way I got into/was obsessed about Beyblade. So to relive the nostalgia, here’s my top 4 favourite characters from the series! Oliver, Ray/Rei, Kai and Max!
P.S. I have no idea whether Oliver’s name is spelt as Oliver Polanski or Oliver Boulanger (I remember the former over the latter) so I just tagged him as “Oliver” haha. Unicorn bit beasts ftw!

i'm around that age too! and so are my friends who used to obsess over it as well. hehe it's one of those shows from that generation that just leaves such a deep impression on our childhood that we can never ever forget it...

I can't remember the Bey I had, but I remember I had a stadium, but no one lived by me had any Beyblades.

Haha, I wish my parents were like that. My mom doesn't really get anime (But she does like a good Studio Ghibli film now and then), and my dad thinks I should grow up and stop watching "cartoons". Ugh. (<_>)
