Love the shot Marion, capturing butterflies is always a treat. The depth of field is pretty unique, throws your eyes toward the two subjects. I will say I don't care too much for the vertical format you chose. I feel this would be more powerful at 650px in height (from the top). Reason is the extreme vertical makes the eyes work overtime to get to the subjects, the beautiful Silvery Checkerspot's. This takes away the power of the subjects a bit and puts more focus on the foreground.
Overall this is a great shot, the colors are amazing and the grain is just right. Not to mention the rarity of finding these guys just chillin' out on some wood!

It's a shame about the glare off that one blade of grass, its brightness is distracting, but it's so hard to control for those kinds of things in quick 'take it or loose it shots' like this. Other than that, I like it a lot. Not sure why everyone's so focused on the empty foreground space tho.

Beautiful subject; Wonderful compliment of hues, really sucks you in. But i think you have too much empty space on the bottom of your image. (e.g. the log). I'd cut aboe 4/5 of it off. Leave probably about 100-150 pixels left.
