Ah good old traditional film e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)" /> I assume you developed it yourself. I know self-developing is a bit hard at first and prone to overexposure or underexposure so the overexposure in this photo is understandable. I do find it a bit strange that the overexposure is concentrated around the outline of your body. Was it added in post editing? Or just some strange camera effect?I like the contrast between your dark hair and glasses against your face. I'm not sure I like the grey background. I think the photo would be more effective if the background was also white. you can achieve this with some back-lighting. The composition looks fairly like rule-of-thirds though I would've adeed more negative space to the right and bottom for a true rule-of-thirds composition. Don't be afraid to use more negative space in photos.I'm not sure why the photo appears so grainy. What ISO film did you use? I'm not sure grain is fitting for such a portrait as it destroys a lot of detail in the facial expression. The photos appears a bit crooked due to your face being tilted and subsequently your eyes being on an angle. Be aware of eyes especially in portraits. For such a portrait, I probably would've straightened the photo with respective to the eyes. Hope this helps e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Big Grin)" />

Did you say you were studying science at university and were not sure if you enjoyed it? It's very funny to have a picture of you, taken by yourself, holding a globe, not smiling
