I have been fighting this goddamn piece for SO LONG and only now I actually fucking nail it down. Not how I'd fully imagine it but it's close enough.
Summary: After returning from patrol, whispers and murmurs are the first thing Ezekiel hears when he comes back to Starheim. Curious and confused, he approaches a fellow member of the Vanguard, Cordelia, to discover the reason why everyone is muttering. Cordie, angry with what had happened not too long ago, doesn't hesitate to spill the fresh fallout between Valera and Tadita. Every word that falls out of her mouth leaves him less and less amused. When she finishes, Ezekiel feels a spark of anger. While he personally struggles with the concept of family, he doesn't like the way Valera treated the elderly Sage and the things she said to her.
Do you smell that? There be trouble on the horizon.
