Your cross hatching is so precise and controlled to create that smooth gradient effect! I lose patience with cross hatching and I can't keep my hand to make close enough lines so I end up doing scribbles all over.... but this is really smooth. I love it! The fairies in the bg are a nice touch

You should try doing an ink piece with loose scribbling! Making some nice crisp strong lines and using the messy scribbles in a slightly controlled manner to create your gradients.Ā I've considered doing it before. ^.^ I feel like it could be fun.

Whoa! Reminds me of seashells in the spiral pattern aesthetic you took.

This is lovely ^^ I really like the illustrative style
Ā
By the way, I was meaning to ask you, what scanner do you use? I've been on the hunt for a decent scanner that I can save up for. All the ones I have access to don't read the pale colours and subtle fading on my pictures :s
