I worked on painting this bookcase for about 30 hours over ... two months? Three months? I forget. Anyway, it was a commission from a very nice family who graciously allowed me to visit once a week to work on this mural in their living room. It's about 8 foot by 8 foot, and yes, ALL the titles are that off the wall. See, they're all books written by people in books.
Anyway, I'm rather proud of this sucker ...

Ah-ha, now we see it. :3 And it looks great! It's like those teatrays this guy painted that had spoons and items on and it looked like you could pick them off. Particularly in the distance shots you look like you could reach out and pick them off the shelf. Great work, you must have had fun thinking of the titles you could put on.

So this is the famous book shelf mural. Awesome stuff, I especially like how the books look like they're actually in the wall rather than how you can just see their spines. The little dragons sitting in the gaps are a lovely touch (though the thing sitting on "The Big Board". What is it exactly? (*turns head*)).
Did you get paid for this? It's brilliant stuff!
