Shame Riot removed each other from the lore, meaning it's left vague enough for them to no longer be considered possible interests.

From what I see on their site, the fact that Tristana and Teemo are partners, including close friends that have rumors of romance, are still up. So that hasn't changed...
Then again, I swear, they're doing everything they can to remove yordles and Bandle City from lore. They're trying to give the "persecuted hunted and hated by humans" complex to the utterly gorgeous characters. ><

They made Poppy into worse lore. She went from a honorable demacian ambassador that kept the peace between Demacia and Bandle, into some blonde bimbo with a hammer.
Veigar's lore no longer talks about him trapped in Noxian jail and tortured, now it's just him that enjoys reading evil books.
It's getting more and more troublesome...

I do love new Poppy, but I miss the old one a lot too. Especially since her relations with Demacian champions like Galio and Garen meant more back then.
There's also the fact that the latest yordle champ (Kled), while freaking hilarious, hates everyone and everything and is just crazy upon crazy. All of the new champions barely acknowledge yordles, unless, of course, they're just hating on Teemo.
My ultimate hope is that they are saving up for a major redo and overall, giving the yordles more purpose and position. I mean, they made these characters, they made the race, and they're still making awesome skins and such for them; why would they try to dismiss them entirely? Because the alternative is that they're trying to get rid of the cute characters like the yordles, simply because the vocal minority is all, "Eww, we don't want CUTE and SILLY in our game, get rid of it!"

Part of me really wonders if that was someone on the staff who wanted to give a big middle finger to those who wanted another edge-lord, and was appealing to those who loved characters like Zoe. The funny thing is, while the vocal minority scream how much they hate cute/silly/girly, the silent majority shows with their wallets and character choices. The Star Guardian skins have done exceptionally well, proving that just because something is very feminine and battle-girl extraordinary, it doesn't mean it's going to fail in LoL.
My worry is more or less that the majority of the LoL staff are going to think that people don't want yordles, and thus they are trying to get rid of them slowly. But that's just my paranoia.
