Description Queen The Drones Evicted

"When was the last time our hive had a queen
Who could paralyze us by bursts of eye
And roll us all over with sheer fertility?
One who could bear with us through our ecdyses"
This cesspit critter needs a flick of our switchblade stingers
Passive enmity and lazy anarchy make our antennae wiggle

But can't we have patience with this exhausted power plant?
Have mercy on the population's prostitute, gluttonous as she is
She still mates to fit the bill with eggs and soldiers
No wonder though that she grows little grabbing talons everywhere
The colony doesn't love its labour enough to guard it well

There is still power, still resolve behind her locked mandibles
A new season where she can shed skin and promises alike awaits
But sadly she'll be remembered as yet another queen the drones evicted
She survives the winter only to lay a new generation of hate

You know, I really like this.

It is very true, and on a smaller scale I can relate to it, the idea that even when you think you are acting in the best interests of your "colony" there will be some who will still hate and resent. I feel sorry for the Queen in this poem.
