Description Tonight, I tried a little experiment. I tried re-imagining Jurassic Park, based on my interpretation of the original novel, and what I know about current paleontology (something I continue to love learning about). I chose to replace “velociraptors” with utahraptors, (which to be fair, were only discovered right after the movie came out), as they were closer in size to the raptors portrayed in the film and the book. I also gave them feathers and put them into a naturalistic display such as you might find at a real zoo. I also restored Tim and Lex’s respective ages. This was about a 2 hour sketch, done in Manga Studio, using mostly paint-style brushes.

Would humans hand rear them and tame them, or couple more be learned from them if they where left feral and aggressive?

I'd love to see a fresher, more modern update on Chrichton's novel.

If BBC had done it to Sherlock, who's to say that someone wouldn't do the same to Jurassic Park?

Me too! This was mainly inspired by the fact that I actually really wish they'd do a Jurassic Park where the audience got to see the park functional and in all its glory.

I'd prefer to see them in an outdoor enclosure though... or perhaps it's just the visitors' tunnel that's indoors? Either way, those raptors are going to need a lot of space.

Yeah I was envisioning a series of viewing areas indoors that looked into their holding pen.

I hope they would have sessions where you can pet the raptors. ^..^
