Description There's quite a few problems, but it's my biggest sprite yet, and I think it turned out really good.

Except to get the shading right, you pretty much have to figure out how everything'd look in 3D pretty much, so I know how it'd cast shadows, which with some of the more...interesting outfits I do, could be difficult.

I'm not saying I won't give it a try sometime, but it's not the only flaw in my artstyle I need to fix. The shading could definitely work, yeah, but what I'm trying to say is that, for an expermient in increasing the size of my sprites(A far more common complaint then the shading), it turned out quite well. One problem at a time.

Yeah, there are some problems, but for my first attempt at a sprite of this size, I think it turned out pretty well.

I think you need to get out of this pillow shading gig, find a light source, and stick with it.

Perhaps. I'm sorta fond of my current shading style. Gives stuff a sorta softness, I think. Doesn't help that I'm not sure how to get the proper lighting for such a thing. It's not like I can ask a chubby mascot to stand under a light for me so I can see how the light and shadows interact and junk, y'know? lol

Which is the link I just looked at. Yeah, works for circles and stuff, but a complex, flabby human body? Seems preeetty tricky.

Maybe I'll experiment with it sometime, though.
