eeeeeh a bunch of people set me straight on my last deviation when I expressed uncertain feels about "should I be posting Ginga crap now that I am professional" so I'll just keep doing what I feel like and not worry about the impression of me it gives(?)In all seriousness though, I appreciate the support so much, so much ;u;

Thank you everyone for your suggestions! I'm afraid that many of those screengrabs were teeny tiny and difficult to draw on!
I'm still open to recommendations, by all means link them to me
but I also put together a comp of some of the ones I think I would have fun redrawingΒ

I might foster one from a shelter, he's not as badass as sniper is though much fearful, Huskies also seem less goofy in anime versions.

The anatomy looks better compared to the original, along with the emotions. The only thing that I believe could be worked on is the shading.
If you look at the Doberman , you can see the shading along the muscle's which helps give the Doberman a more lean and muscular look.
It also helps to separate the neck and the shoulder.

Your version is so much better as ART, but it completely changes expressions.
In original version Kyoshiro is tired, sad, painful, and Lector is concentrating.

Basically you take a screenshot, and you re-draw it, in your style. If you're lazy like me, you just use the same background. That's all really.

The animators didn't even try. Β I do love Ginga, but sometimes it's hard to get past the art! Β (Especially in GDW!) Β If you want to make a dog look like a certain breed, especially one with specific anatomy like a borzoi, you really need to pay attention to what you're doing...
I personally would have loved to see more breeds in the manga and anime than just the same spitz type/shepherd/Great Dane/random mutt dog with drop ears combo! Β There are so many cool breeds out there so it's a shame they weren't utilized!

Well, GNG's animation was far from stellar too. Both animes were really poorly funded and probably had tiny teams. I wouldn't want to work hard in a group like that either.
There's still hope for him to bring in some new breeds for Last Wars? I doubt it, but hey. If anything, that's what Yoshi's fans are for. Variety.

I'll be honest, there are times when I entertain the idea of re-animating the entire thing, just reusing the audio. But then I remember that I have a life, and I need monies to eat and buy crap, and that re-doing an entire anime by myself for fan reasons doesn't pay rent
