story
Asher swung onto Missy’s broad back and reached down to fix her intricately plaited mane. Tonight was a big night for the two young competitiors, and Asher was determined to finish in the ribbons. It had taken no small miracle to convince Alice to allow Asher and his inexperienced mount to compete overseas—Hungary, no less—and Asher needed to show her that the expense would be worthwhile.
Missy and Asher, the first pair to compete, entered the arena just as the sun began its smooth descent into the mountains, staining the sky lovely shades of rose and creamy golds. Asher took a nervous swallow and saluted the judge. Missy stood at the ready, hopefully having released her energy on the previous days. Before Asher had time to worry, the music started and horse and rider were swept into a graceful ballet of focus and power, the sinking sun staining their dance with glowing pinks.

SO proud of myself! I started this ages ago and finally found a while to finish up (home sick, ugh)
I went a little crazy with the colours, but I had so much fun with it (:
