Thank you actually I just wanted to make something vulnerable that survived the onslaught of harsh weather. It's supposed to be just a flower bud though..... not any particular species. But really ... truly thank you for liking it. I too love spruce and and love snow

Oh, there is really a big difference between the first and the final version.
I know how much effort it is to paint such a monster and redo it until you are happy with the result.
I appreciated your work on the first release but that final version just stunned me.
I dont know if I can add so much detail for my own paintings but this will give me a nice impression of what I can improve. ^_^

Awesome work and I love how you kept the flower on that final version.
Is there a hidden message on that picture on the lower left? "Move on healthy" or maybe its just my imagination. ^_^

Thank you so much. I am so glad that you liked the final version. I had just felt that the foreground needed more character. Its like.... the top half of the painting (in the earlier version) had more weight and it was just irritating me☺
The little flower is really special and you had described it beautifully.... resilient, innocent, curious and strong all at the same time. Its fascinating how sometimes dainty flowers survive harsh weather☺
And no there is no hidden message...just a few frozen dried up blades of a bush
By the way I love your appraisal of my artwork. You are very kind. I love the flowers you had painted.😊
