Description
I wanted to create some future characters like Marvel did with M2, Spider-Girl and J2 and American Dream, etc. Offspring or the next generation. A fun glimpse at the future with sometimes fun and unreal couplings. So This is Power Beetle also known as Kal Kord, the son of Ted Kord and Karen Starr/Power Girl. Ted and Karen met at a big science business convention. The two hit it off seeing as they are both CEOs and Superheroes in their spare time. The began dating and soon got married. Eventually they had a son together, being half Kryptonian Kal inherited his mother's invulnerable skin and super strength but not much else. He is sort of a big like his Uncle Kal El from Earth 2, who he is named after. From his human father he inherited a mind for inventing.
At the same time, or around give or take a year or two, Booster Gold and Fire had a child together named Daniel after Booster's relative from the 21st century. They never got married but were both loving parents. Their son and Kal became good friends just like Ted and Booster. More on him later.
At a certain age Ted realized he was relying more and more on his tech to help him so he decided to be a stay at home dad. Karen, being Kryptonian, aged slower and still seemed young and able to be a superhero so she was. Kal grew up knowing his parents were superheroes, they never hid it, so when he decided he wanted to they encouraged him. But Ted wanted him to use his own ideas and inventions. Since Kal couldn't fly he created a suit that would help him fly, like how Batman Beyond flies. He attached wings and jets to his suit. He called himself Power Beetle.
His friend, the son of Booster and Fire, also was finding out about his parents and his own powers over fire, he used a modified suit from his father and became Golden Fire. The two also came out to their parents around that time, and all of them were very supportive. Power Beetle and Golden Fire were a new super powered couple.
Power Beetle is like a Doc Samson, Reed Richards, Jonas Venture, or Tom Turbine, scientist adventurer type of superhero. He is super strong and bullet proof but uses his mind most of all.
Next I will draw Gold Fire. I also have the son of Rose Wilson. Bret Booth drew Stephani Brown (Spoiler) as Red X you should look it up. Wonder Man, the son of Wonder Woman and Superman. Bizarro Beyond, an evil version of Wonder Man from beyond the Phantom Zone. Cheeter, the son of Cheetah. Eradicator Beyond, who is now in the Doomsday body. Etc.
In this world I went off the Batman Beyond universe, so Barbara Gordon became Commissioner married to the new DA. Not with Ted. So I put him together with Power Girl since they both were CEOs, superheroes, and would probably spend a lot of time together. I also tried to use characters not used yet in Batman Beyond. And since some people think Ted and Booster are gay, and they have to tell them they aren't, I thought maybe their sons could end up together. Like Hulkling and Wiccan.
