Description
After doodling him for so many times, I finally decided to do a piece dedicated to the little zealot right here. It was supposed to be a warm up, originally, but as I got more into it, I saw more of the potential in making it a full blown piece. Plus, it was a good opportunity to practice blending and shading fur, since that's an area I've struggled with for ages. I'd really appreciate comments on how the fur looks, if any of you have had experience with shading/painting it before.Related content

He looks really cute, great job! Technically, I can tell you struggled a little with painting the fur, and that's understandable. I myself have struggled with this area of painting as well. Just some advice: Next time you paint fur, make sure that the fur length isn't the same every time. The fur should be shorter around his nose and eyes, while longer on his chest. I am by no means an expert on painting fur, but that's what I think you could do next time. Other than that, great job!

Thanks! Fur's something I've not done without heavily referencing a photo before, and it took a lot of trial and error before I finished this piece. It didn't even occur to me to vary the fur length, but what you've suggested makes sense.
