Description
First off, this guy has nothing to do with The Rock. He's called the Scorpion King for his own reasons.This is a sketch I did for one of the prominent characters in a story I'm co-writing with . He's one of three demi-gods in a mystical world akin to middle-earth or Narnia . . .
The only parts of his character that are set in stone are the following: He's a hermit, who lives underground. Since the three demi-gods all rule over a third of the land, but he shuns his, only emerging from his underground sanctuary ever hundred years or so to check up on things (if that). His one regret is that, being a hermit, he cannot fight other people (it's his favorite pass time). So, when the heroes show up seeking aid from him, he agrees if they each fight him (excluding the girls, he won't fight women). Not much, I know, but it's a work-in-progress.
I mostly just want people's reactions to the character, but feel free to comment on the art itself if you'd like. Please gimme feedback!
I'll post the other characters as they get names.

That's freaking awesome-especially the scorpion!! You got great shading; gives it depth and realism (Though, from what I've heard, the darkest parts of the shadows should be darker, but some drawings haven't got a lot of light shining on them, so there wouldn't be darker shading, but it gives more contrast from what I've seen and heard) But I still like it; it looks real

Wow that's so cool to have em based on your family 
and comment on the char... so what does he do when he's alone? Does he like to train alot with his scorpions? Is he a magic user, and if so, what's his speciality?

Actually, he's a bit altered from my actual self. He's based more on a combination of how some people view me and how I view myself (neither entirely accurate I'm afraid).
As far as being alone, I guess he trains like you said. He's not a magic user himself, although both of his "sisters" use it. He has the ability but not the will to master it.

His character is based on me (not his appearance, obviously). His scorpions are based on my two scorpions.

I can't really offer feedback on the character as you've given very little description... though does he really have a giant pet scorpion? That'd be cool. I should get Nerva one of those instead of a stupid horse.
This is phenomenal pencil drawing, though something seems off with his facial structure. I should actually draw more often.

Okay, I've updated his bio a bit. And yes, he has two giant scorpions, he's not just called the Scorpion King to sound cool. I see what you mean about his face, it was an accident I can only blame on my watching T.V. while drawing it.
