Description
The Christiaan Huygens, named after the 17th-century Dutch astronomer, is a large space colony in orbit around Saturn in the 23rd century. It is an O'Neil cylinder with a thriving community inside, populated by a mixture of humans, mentally upgraded animals, and soon, by alien beings as interstellar spacecraft venture into the cosmos. This habitat orbits the gas planet in a similar manner to the International Space Station of the early 21st century, passing over the northern and southern hemispheres as it orbits every 15 hours or so.
