My personal favorite headcanon that is that Hydra used Bucky's DNA to make a baby as an experiment, maybe to see if the serum could be passed down from parent to child. But it didn't work, or they found more important things to do and left the baby in a cryo chamber, where they would later be of course found and adopted by stucky once Hydra was dismantled.

Also, Steve is definitely the morning person and Bucky is definitely not. :3
