A concept image for the first chapter of my Jaded story.

Jade and Naomi are sent to capture an escaped convict who's been seen hiding in the warehouse district. Unfortunately, their search finds them stumbling onto a gang of criminals engaged in illegal activities. Now they've got to locate their target and find a way out of the area.

'But Nate, -Where is Jade and Naomi? Don't tell us you changed their designs AGAIN!'

No, not really. You see, I was having a Clark Kent / Superman dilemma. Realistically, nobody would be fooled by Clark's "Glasses" disguise. Likewise, nobody is going to have any trouble identifying Jade in the stealth suit even with the hat and goggles. So I brought back an old idea from long ago:
The members of Jade's team disguise their real identities by using a device that alters the color of their fur, and they put in special contacts to change their eye color.
When they're off the clock, they can simply reverse the effect and return to their normal color scheme. Thus being able to walk the streets without getting shot by someone out for revenge. A very useful feature.
