I was going to wait to submit a photo of my latest costume because we had a FF8 group at Otakon and the wonderful Chris (Ronin Photography) did a shoot with us. I know I am most likely going to post a gorgeous photo from that as soon as I receive them, but in the mean time, here is photo the super awesome Al (Eurobeatking on cosplay.com and acparadise.com) took of me on Saturday at Otakon in Baltimore.This is me cosplaying as Sorceress Ultimecia from the video game Final Fantasy 8 (this is not the Dissidia version!). I made the entire costume myself. My favorite part would have to be the wings and train of the dress, least part would be the horns. I used hair extensions on them because I always thought that those horns were just a wacky, ridiculous hair style. They are a bit bulky and a tad small (length wise) for my personal tastes, but they came out pretty decent.

PS: Forgive my ballet flats and anklet.. lol... unfortunately convention centers don't let you walk around barefoot half the time (plus that's kinda gross other wise??).

Thanks! At the time, I didn't, but I was so secured in that dress with fashion tape, there was no chance anything would come undone.
Even now, I can't think of any bra that could physically work with this cosplay. There are plenty of strapless and backless bras, but even still.. this one would need to be frontless! lol

It's pretty nit-picky when it comes to the Dissidia version. Her headdress has a few extra dangles, her leg tattoos are a bit different, and her dress looks more torn up at the bottom with fur trim rather than the feathers. I really want to get my hands on Dissidia super bad!!!

ive got the japanese version of dissidia but the US version is coming out August 25th so im gona have to get that too xDD
im still interested how the american voice actors will sound cause the japanese ones were supurb

Uggggggghhhh jealous!! I don't even have a psp to actually play it on, so I'm hoping their going to make some sort of ps2 port of it. If not, I believe a few friends have the system so I can play it off of theirs. >.<
I wonder if they have clips of the american actors?? They're usually hit or miss with this kinda stuff. I thought the kingdom hearts actors were great for the most part, so hopefully it'll be a good selection like them!

i also heard that the same people who have played tidus and jecht are confirmed, although sephiroth and gabranth havnt 0_o i hope they dont replace gabranth with that moogle thats in the trailer 0_o

Gah, that was so awesome to see! Everything looked perfect- the dress, the body paint, the horns, and OMG those wings! Simply the best Ultimecia I've ever seen. You win, girl!
